**Christie’s to Auction AI-Generated Art, Artists Shocked to Learn They No Longer Matter**

A group of distressed human artists is desperately trying to convince the world they still exist after discovering that Christie’s is hosting an entire auction of AI-generated artwork. The sale, called “Augmented Intelligence,” is expected to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars, leaving traditional artists wondering why they even bothered learning how to paint.

“This is just mass theft,” cried an artist who swears his work was scraped for AI training but has no way to prove it. “These algorithms are stealing from thousands of painters, sculptors, and digital artists—it’s like an art history grave robbery, except the robbers don’t even have hands.”

Christie’s, which has previously sold art by actual, living humans, is now testing out whether people will spend just as much money on art created by soulless machines. Turns out, they will. Prices range from $10,000 to an absurd $250,000, proving that you don’t need talent to enter the fine art world—just a powerful processor and some good marketing.

But not everyone is thrilled about this new AI invasion. “We spend years honing our craft, bleeding for our passion,” said one furious artist, dramatically adjusting their beret. “Meanwhile, some billionaire is about to drop six figures on a JPEG created in five seconds by an algorithm fueled by my stolen work. If AI starts painting moody self-portraits while listening to jazz, I’m finished.”

Despite the outcry, Christie’s is moving forward with the auction, reassuring everyone that AI-generated art is simply another evolution in creative expression, much like the invention of photography. “Besides,” said one anonymous auction house representative, “we’re still making a ridiculous amount of money off of technically useless objects, so really, nothing has changed.”

As artists protest and collectors open their wallets, one thing is clear: in the battle between creativity and capitalism, capitalism remains undefeated.
