**Google’s AI Claims Humanity Runs on Gouda, Immediately Backtracks**

In a shocking revelation that rattled the already unstable foundation of truth in advertising, Google hastily edited its Super Bowl ad for its AI tool, Gemini, after an alarmed cheese enthusiast pointed out that, no, gouda does not make up 60% of global cheese consumption.

The commercial, which aimed to demonstrate the “limitless potential” of AI to revolutionize businesses, showcased Gemini assisting a Wisconsin cheesemonger in crafting a product description. Unfortunately, Gemini confidently declared that half of the world’s cheese market is centered around gouda, sending the dairy industry into an existential crisis.

“I saw the claim and thought, wow, have I just been eating gouda this whole time without realizing?” said local cheese lover Marty Grayson. “Turns out, no, it’s just another case of AI hallucinating harder than a dehydrated man in the desert.”

Google scrambled to fix the ad before it aired, with a spokesperson stating, “We strive for accuracy, and while we’re proud of Gemini’s capabilities, it’s clear we still have some—uh—refinements to make. Thankfully, this was about cheese and not, say, mortgage rates or international law.”

Critics were quick to weigh in. “If AI can’t even get cheese facts right, do I really want it writing my emails?” questioned tech analyst Lauren Patton. “I was willing to put up with some quirks, but now I’m worried it might tell my boss I died when I actually just took a sick day.”

In response, Google reassured the public that it has updated Gemini to be “even more robust,” meaning that next time it makes up a fact, it’ll at least sound more plausible. Meanwhile, the world continues to grapple with the unsettling reality that fake cheese statistics got an ad pulled before misinformation about literally anything else.
